Hi! I’m Samson, and I am as cute and cuddly as I look in my pictures. I am red and white with lots of freckles on my nose. I am a smaller boy, at about 20 pounds, which is great because I love to be held.
When I first arrived at my foster home, I was a little possessive of toys and wanted to scarf down everyone’s food. I quickly realized that although I have four foster brothers and sisters, there are plenty of toys, food, and most of all LOVE, to go around! I really like having all these dogs in the house with me because I am able to watch and learn from them. My foster mom says that means I am smart. I have learned to “sit” and “stay” (most of the time--sometimes the temptation is just too great).
My foster mom also says that I am “the whole package” because I like to play with toys--especially my squeaky basketball in the picture with me--and I love to cuddle too!
I am only about 2 years old, so I still enjoy doing a lot of puppy things, like playing with toys, running in the yard, and sometimes chewing on things that I shouldn’t (oops!)

Samson is a wonderful dog! He is sweet, cuddly, gives “Cocker kisses,” and he really wants to please his “pet people.” He can be timid, especially when first meeting someone, but after being around them for a few minutes he really warms up to them. His confidence is growing every day. I suspect that he was in a home with some unrest because he does not like raised voices even though they are not directed at him (as I discovered when cheering for my team during the NCAA tournament). Samson would do best in a home with some canine companionship. Occasionally, he has been around children (approximately 12 years and up) and done well, but he has not been around very young kids. Samson is a great boy deserving of a great home! Are you able an willing to give him that great home? You won’t regret it!! |
