Give the Gift of Sight

Did you know dogs could develop cataracts just like humans? The lens of the eye becomes very cloudy and finally you just can't see out of it. Think about having a dirty contact lens in your eye - it's so frustrating!! As a Cocker Spaniel Rescue, we are seeing more young cockers who have cataracts, which can be corrected with surgery - but it isn't inexpensive. Learn more >>

Kayla

Kayla is an exceptionally smart little girl. She absolutely loves to run and catch her ball and bring it back to you! Unfortunately, Kayla has a juvenile cataract in one eye. She is only one and a half years old and has a lot of ball catching to do! We'd like to be able to take her in for an initial visit to the Ophthalmologist to determine if she is a candidate for cataract surgery. She can see some shadows in the affected eye, so there is hope we've caught it in time. However, we can't take her for that visit until we have the funds donated. Can you help us give Kayla the gift of sight? Learn more >>

PORTER

Porter is an adorable 4 1/2 year old buff and white cocker. He came into our program from being a stray. He is so sweet and very trusting for a boy who was a stray. He gives the biggest cocker kisses too!! He has juvenile cataracts in BOTH eyes and would have been euthanized if not taken into our program. We want to give this young boy his eyesight back if possible. We need to raise money to see if he's a candidate first - about $600 and then money for the surgeries if he is a candidate. Any donation amount is never too small and we hope you'll be able to help this adorable guy!! Learn more >>

SHERMAN

Sherman has a very, very rare condition called "Cor Triatriatum Dexter". That means he has an extra chamber in the upper chamber of his heart causing the blood not to flow freely. It has a little tiny opening in the heart. The cardiologist said he has only seen this condition four, maybe five times in his career. Will you help us give Sherman that long and healthy life? Chip In and be a part of this rewarding experience! Learn more >>
